Prices & packages
How much does a one-page website cost at CraicWeb?
CraicWeb’s Starter website costs €499, with no VAT currently added. It includes one page with up to five sections, two rounds of revisions, a mobile-friendly design in your brand colours, a contact form, essential SEO, and hosting, email and SSL for the first year. We agree the scope before work begins.
What is included in the €999 Spark package?
Spark costs €999 and defines the direction of your brand and website before the full build. It includes a logo, colour palette, main screen design and a presentation of the creative direction. The €999 fee is credited towards the full website project, so it is not charged twice when you continue.
What does The whole world package include?
The whole world starts from €1,899 and includes Spark plus a website built around your business, with custom artwork, animations and microinteractions. Spark is already included in that total. The final quote depends on the agreed scope, so we confirm what will be built and its price before starting the project.
Do you add VAT to your prices?
CraicWeb is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added to the quoted prices. For example, the Starter website is €499 under the current offer. Your quote and invoice will show the amount payable for the agreed work, including any selected extras rather than just the starting package price.
What happens to hosting and maintenance after the first year?
The website packages include hosting, email and SSL for the first year; ongoing Care is €29–39 per month depending on scope. Care covers hosting after year one, updates, backups and minor changes. We can agree ongoing support around your needs, rather than assume every business needs the same amount of monthly work.
Can I combine a website with an AI assistant or other monthly services?
Yes. A Starter website plus an AI assistant is €649 upfront: €499 for the website and €150 for AI setup, followed by €39 per month for the assistant. Other monthly options can be added separately. The estimate calculator keeps one-off and recurring costs apart so you can see what you are choosing.
How it works
How do payments work for a website project?
Projects costing up to €500 are paid in full upfront; projects above €500 start with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% is paid against the balance invoice. All package invoices have a payment deadline of three days from the date of issue. The quote sets out the agreed project scope and price.
How long do Starter and The whole world projects take?
The current expected turnaround is up to one week for both Starter and The whole world, subject to confirming the individual project. This is the present timeframe, not a permanent promise: availability and scope can change. We agree the actual delivery date before work begins, including any additional features you need.
How do I start a project with CraicWeb?
Start by sending Pawel a short brief through the website or emailing hello@craicweb.com. Describe your business, who you want to reach and what the website should help people do. We then discuss the direction, scope, price and timing before moving into design and development, with you involved in reviewing the work.
How many rounds of revisions are included?
The Starter website includes two rounds of revisions. These give us agreed opportunities to refine the design and content within the project scope. For Spark, The whole world or a bespoke application, we agree the review arrangements as part of the quote rather than assume the Starter allowance applies to every project.
Will I own my website after payment?
Yes. You own your website after the project has been paid for in full. Ongoing editing and care can still be handled by Pawel if you choose that support. Domain registration is a separate arrangement, so we confirm whose name the domain is registered in instead of treating it as identical to website ownership.
Who will the domain be registered to?
The domain is registered to Pawel by default, but it can be registered to you instead by agreement. We should settle this when planning the project so the arrangement is clear from the start. It is separate from your ownership of the paid-for website and from any ongoing care you choose.
Design & technology
Do you use WordPress or build websites with your own code?
CraicWeb websites are built with custom code, not WordPress. I design and develop the site around the agreed project, including its layout, interactions and content. This also means the current service does not include a WordPress editing panel: ongoing content edits are handled by me rather than through a client-managed WordPress installation.
Can I edit the website content myself?
Content edits are currently handled by Pawel; the standard service does not provide a self-service content editor. You can send the changes you need and we agree the work involved. For regular updates, the Care option includes minor changes alongside maintenance, with the monthly scope agreed for your business.
Will you write the text or can I provide my own?
I can write the website copy, or use text you already have. We agree which approach suits the project before work begins, including the pages and information needed. Your own knowledge of the business remains important: it helps us present the offer accurately, with clear details about services, customers and the next step.
Can you refresh an existing website instead of replacing it?
Yes. CraicWeb can refresh an existing website, with the approach and price agreed after reviewing what is there. Tell me what is working and what feels unclear or outdated. We can then decide whether changes to the design, content or functionality make sense, or whether a new build better fits the project.
Can you build an online shop, booking system or web application?
Yes. CraicWeb can work on online shops, booking systems and web applications, with a bespoke quote for the required functionality. These are not automatically included in the €499 Starter website. Describe what customers or staff need to do, and we will agree the features, any integrations, the cost and the delivery plan.
Google & AI visibility
What does being ready for Google and AI search mean?
For CraicWeb, it means presenting your services, location, prices and useful answers in a clear website structure, alongside essential SEO. Google says its established SEO practices also apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode; no special AI markup is required. Preparation helps make information accessible, but does not guarantee inclusion, rankings or recommendations.
Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend my business?
No. CraicWeb does not guarantee recommendations from ChatGPT or any other AI service. We can improve how clearly your business is described and check whether relevant pages are accessible to search crawlers. OpenAI identifies OAI-SearchBot as its search crawler, but allowing access alone does not guarantee that your business will appear in an answer.
Do I need special AI files or schema to appear in Google’s AI features?
Google says you do not need special AI files or dedicated schema markup to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. Its normal search requirements and helpful content practices still apply. CraicWeb can organise the information on your site and add appropriate structured data, but these are not a paid shortcut to guaranteed AI visibility.
What is included in the €79 Visibility service?
Visibility combines SEO articles and AI visibility monitoring for €79 per month, compared with €98 for the two services separately. It is an optional ongoing service rather than part of the one-off website build. We agree the content and monitoring scope before starting; the package does not promise a particular ranking or AI recommendation.
What is included in the €299 AI visibility setup?
AI visibility setup is a one-off €299 service covering sitemap.xml, robots.txt, FAQ content with FAQPage structured data, business and service structured data, clear offer and contact information, canonical URLs and indexing checks. It prepares the website’s information for search and AI tools; it does not guarantee rankings, indexing or recommendations.
AI assistants
How much does a CraicWeb AI assistant cost?
The website AI assistant costs €150 for setup and €39 per month for ongoing maintenance. These charges are separate from the website package, so you can see both the initial and recurring cost. We agree the assistant’s role and the information it should use before putting it in front of your visitors.
What can an AI assistant do on my website?
An AI assistant can explain your offer, answer common customer questions and help collect an enquiry about what a visitor needs. We define its role around your business information rather than leave the conversation without direction. The enquiry flow and handover to you are agreed during setup so the assistant supports your existing way of working.
Does adding an AI assistant make my business appear in ChatGPT search?
No. An assistant on your own website and visibility in ChatGPT search are different services. The assistant helps people who are already visiting your site; search visibility concerns whether external tools discover and reference your business. You can choose either service or both, but buying the assistant does not buy a recommendation from an external AI platform.
Grants & funding in Ireland
Is the Trading Online Voucher still available?
No. The Trading Online Voucher closed to new applications on 13 December 2024. Grow Digital replaced it, but the newer support has different rules and is not a like-for-like website grant. Check the current scheme with your Local Enterprise Office before planning a project around funding; an old voucher description should not be used as confirmation.
How much funding can Grow Digital provide, and who can apply?
Grow Digital offers 50% of eligible costs, with grants from €500 to €5,000. Key conditions include 1–50 paid employees, at least six months trading, and a Digital for Business project completed within the previous two years. Other conditions apply, including tax clearance. Your Local Enterprise Office assesses your business and confirms eligibility; CraicWeb cannot approve funding.
Can Grow Digital pay for a custom CraicWeb website or AI project?
Grow Digital explicitly excludes bespoke website development and custom software, so do not assume a CraicWeb website or custom AI build qualifies. Eligible off-the-shelf software subscriptions, including some booking or AI tools, may fit the scheme. Ask your LEO about the exact costs before committing; I can supply a scope and quote, but the business applies for funding.
Working with CraicWeb
Who designs the website, and where is CraicWeb based?
Pawel runs CraicWeb as a sole trader based in Dublin, working with businesses across Ireland. You work directly with me from the first brief to launch. From 2021, I co-owned WaveMakers, developing project concepts with a team of developers; I now bring that experience directly to client projects through CraicWeb.
Do you meet clients in person, or work online?
CraicWeb currently works with clients online, including businesses in Dublin and elsewhere in Ireland. You do not need to visit an office to discuss a project or review the work. Send your brief or questions by email to get started, and we will agree how to organise communication and feedback throughout the project.
Can we work together in Polish as well as English?
Yes. You can discuss your project with Pawel in Polish or English. CraicWeb has both language versions of its website, and you can switch between them using the flag in the menu. Tell me which language suits you and which audiences your own website needs to serve so we can agree the right content scope.
