Web applications for businesses in Ireland

CraicWeb builds custom-coded web applications for businesses across Ireland, working online from Dublin. A project may be an online shop, a booking workflow or a tool for customers or a team. There is no fixed price: Pawel agrees the problem, features and responsibilities, then gives a bespoke quote and timeline. You work directly with him from brief to launch.

Who needs a web application?

A website mainly explains an offer and helps people make contact. A web application lets someone do something: choose a booking time, place an order, enter information, track a request or use a tool that makes a repeated task easier. The useful starting question is what a customer or teammate needs to complete, not which technology sounds impressive.

An application is appropriate when the process is clear enough to describe and worth simplifying. If you currently manage bookings through a patchwork of messages, a focused booking flow may help. If you sell products, an online shop may be relevant. If your team copies the same information between systems, a small internal tool might be the better investment. I will also say when an ordinary website or an existing product is the more sensible option.

I work with businesses across Ireland online, in English or Polish. We can use a written brief and remote reviews to define the work. You do not need a meeting in Dublin. The technology product Authify appears in my selected work, but it is not evidence that your project needs the same features or that a similar outcome is guaranteed.

What kinds of applications can CraicWeb build?

Web applications · Bespoke quote

The scope can include online shops, booking systems and custom web applications. Those are categories, not pre-priced packages. A shop might need product presentation, a checkout, order notifications and a way to manage changes. A booking system might need availability rules, confirmation messages and a process for cancellations. A customer tool might have very different requirements. We identify what belongs in the first useful version before estimating the work.

I build on custom code rather than WordPress. That makes it especially important to decide who will manage content and data after launch. I handle content edits as part of the service agreed with you. If your team needs its own interface for updating products, appointments or other information, that interface is a feature to include in the scope and quote. I do not assume that a full administration system is included in every project.

Where you already use another service, I can look at whether it offers an appropriate integration. That depends on the provider's documented capabilities, access conditions and charges. We should decide whether an integration really saves work or just adds another dependency. Security, privacy and the ongoing ownership of accounts are also part of scoping a tool that handles customer information.

How much does a web application cost?

Web applications receive a bespoke quote. There is no honest fixed price for all shops, booking flows and custom tools. The cost depends on the number of actions people need to complete, the data involved, design and content, integrations, testing and what must be maintained after launch. I explain those parts in the proposal so you can decide what to build now and what can wait.

CraicWeb is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to its quote. For projects above €500, the deposit is 30%, with the rest of the payment schedule agreed in the project scope. We confirm ownership, domain and hosting arrangements at the start. You own the paid-for work; a domain can be registered in your name or managed by me as agreed. Third-party services, if any, need their own clear account and cost arrangements.

How does a custom application project work?

Start by describing the person who will use the tool and the task they should finish. What happens before they arrive? What choices do they make? What should your business receive afterwards? A rough outline or a few real examples are more useful than a long list of features without context. I turn that into a proposed first version, identify open questions and give you a quote and schedule.

We then agree the design, build and review points. I test the main flow at desktop and mobile sizes, including error cases, before launch. You see the work and can give feedback at the stages we agree. A simple website can currently take up to one week after scope and content are agreed; a custom application has its own timeline based on the features. I will not apply the website estimate to an application without checking its complexity.

What do I receive when the tool launches?

You receive the agreed working application and a clear account of what it does, where it runs and who maintains each part. If the project uses a payment provider, email service or another external system, its continuing cost and access should be understood. We can plan later improvements from actual use, but I do not promise that a new tool will automatically save a particular number of hours or produce sales.

If you mainly need a clear online presentation before building a tool, see website design. The FAQ explains payments and collaboration. In the brief, tell me the task you want the application to make easier and who will use it.

What should you know about web applications?

Can you build a booking system for my business?

Booking is one possible web application. Tell me what customers choose, what information you need and how availability is managed; I can then propose a suitable scope.

Do you build online shops?

Yes, an online shop can be considered as a custom project. The quote depends on products, payment flow, fulfilment and the work needed to maintain it.

Why is there no fixed web application price?

A useful tool might be a focused form and dashboard or a more involved shop or booking workflow. We agree the features and responsibilities before I quote, so you know what is included.

Can I edit the content myself afterwards?

I build with custom code and handle content edits. If a project needs an admin interface for your team, tell me before the quote so it can be scoped as a feature.

Will you connect an existing business system?

Possibly, if the system offers a suitable integration. I would first check its documentation, access requirements and ongoing cost, then include the agreed work in the proposal.
